The Your Future Attorney Scholarship.

We award $500 each year to a student on the road to law school, because we know what the path costs, in money and in doubt. You do not need to be our student to apply.

The award

$500, once a year, for one future attorney.

The award goes toward whatever moves you closer to law school: LSAT prep, application and LSAC fees, score reports, or test registration. It is paid directly to the recipient and comes with no obligation to work with us.

Who can apply

If you are headed for law school, you qualify.

  • You are preparing for the LSAT and intend to apply to an ABA-accredited law school in the United States.
  • Undergraduates, recent graduates, and career changers are all welcome.
  • First-generation and underrepresented applicants are especially encouraged to apply.
  • You do not need to be a Your Future Attorney student, and applying is free.
How to apply

One short essay, and that is it.

  • Your essay. In 500 words or fewer: why do you want to become an attorney, and what will you do with the degree?
  • Your name and the school you attend or graduated from.
  • The year you plan to apply to law school.
Timeline and selection

Dates that matter.

  • Deadline: applications are due December 1, 2026.
  • Decision: the recipient is notified by December 20, 2026, and announced on this page.
  • How we choose: we read every essay and select the one that shows the clearest sense of purpose. The decision is made by the Your Future Attorney team.

Do I have to be a Your Future Attorney student?

No. The scholarship is open to any student preparing for the LSAT and planning to apply to law school. Applying is free and carries no obligation.

How is the $500 paid?

Directly to the recipient, to use toward LSAT prep, application fees, or other costs on the way to law school.

When is the deadline?

Applications are due December 1, 2026, and the recipient is announced by December 20, 2026.

How do I apply?
