FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most about our LSAT program. This section covers our approach, our commitment, and what to expect.

How will I know if this will work for me?

It starts with a free diagnostic. Before you commit to anything, we identify the exact question types and content areas costing you the most points, then map a realistic path to your target score. You see the plan first, then decide.

How do you handle test anxiety?

The fix for test anxiety is exposure, not avoidance. We build composure under real timed conditions, one section at a time, so test day feels like every practice session that came before it. This alone is often worth several points.

How fast can I realistically improve?

It depends on your starting point, your timeline, and how consistently you put in the work between sessions. Most students see early movement within the first few weeks as foundations and strategy lock in, with the largest gains coming as timing and stamina come together. Your tutor sets a realistic target with you on day one.

When will I begin to see improvement?

Most students feel the difference in how they approach Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension within the first two to three weeks. Score movement on full practice tests follows once the strategy work is paired with timing drills.

Will this overwhelm me?

No. Your plan is built in layers and paced around your schedule and test date. You always know exactly what to work on next, which is the opposite of the scattered self-study most people burn out on.

How do you decide what to work on?

Your diagnostic is the spine of the plan. Every session targets the specific question types and content gaps that are costing you points, not a generic one-size-fits-all curriculum.

How do you keep me accountable and on track?

You get a weekly progress report: hours logged, what was covered, your latest practice-test score, tutor feedback, and what is happening next. Nothing is a mystery, and momentum is built in.

What makes you different from other LSAT prep companies?

One-on-one tutoring with someone who recently scored at the top of the LSAT and is now at a strong law school, a curriculum built from your diagnostic, weekly visibility into your progress, and a score guarantee on our larger packages. Most companies give you a recorded course or a tutor who took a different version of the test years ago.

How do you ensure the tutor is a good fit?

We match you based on your target score, your learning style, and your personality, not just availability. If the fit is not right, we re-match you. Your tutor should feel like someone who recently sat where you are and knows exactly how to get you out of it.

Timing & urgency

Why starting now matters more than you think

Score improvement compounds. Cramming does not.

The biggest jumps come from working in layers: fundamentals, then strategy, then timing, then test-day stamina. Each layer stacks on the last. Starting late forces us to skip layers, which leaves real points on the table.

Your schedule only gets heavier.

Senior-year courses, a thesis, a job, applications, recommenders. Life piles on as the cycle approaches, not the reverse. Build the score during a lighter stretch so the heavier ones stay focused on everything else.

You need your score before you apply anywhere.

Your school list with a 155 looks nothing like your list with a 168. Without a finalized score, you apply blind or hedge your bets, and both are exhausting and expensive.

Law school admissions are rolling.

Applications open in the fall, and seats and scholarship dollars are awarded as applications come in. Applying early in the cycle, with your score already in hand, is a real and measurable advantage.

Scholarship deadlines do not move.

Merit awards, early-decision deadlines, and conditional offers come with fixed cutoffs tied to your LSAT and GPA. There are no extensions and no make-ups, and the largest awards go to the strongest, earliest files.

Test anxiety does not fade on its own.

Retaking the LSAT without changing your approach usually produces the same score, sometimes lower. The fix is exposure under real conditions, and every month with the right tutor builds confidence that is often worth points by itself.

Starting now means you are not deciding under pressure.

The people who reach out in panic mode still get help, but they do not get to think clearly. Start early and you get the right tutor, the right plan, and the time to actually watch the score move. That is the difference between hiring help and being rescued.

The most common thing we hear at month six:

"I wish I had started sooner." We have never had a student tell us the opposite.

The real value

What a higher LSAT score is actually worth

The LSAT is not just a test, it is a financial event. Your score changes which schools accept you, which merit scholarships you qualify for, and how much you pay out of pocket across a three-year JD. For most students, the program returns many times its cost in scholarship dollars alone.

155 → 162
Wider list, real money on the table.

Moves you from a narrow list into most regional and many top-100 schools, and into partial merit consideration at a wide range of programs.

Typical merit aid: $10,000 to $30,000 per year
162 → 167
Competitive to selective.

Brings strong national schools into reach and qualifies you for substantial merit packages at programs eager to raise their median.

Typical merit aid: $30,000 to $60,000 per year
167 → 172+
Selective to top-tier.

Puts top-14 schools in play and qualifies you for the highest merit tiers, including full-tuition and named scholarship consideration.

Typical merit aid: $60,000 per year up to a full ride
